Yo m8,s Just installed Fraps (registered ver.) settings is half size and 30 frp...And its lags as He** when i record ? any suggestions (sereiusly ones ) Pc running vista and programs when use is:Sof,minimizer,Fraps,Bullguard (viruspgr) and when i say lag,its lag thats nearly gonna freze pc total..Hope its can be solved.. cya..

Mine fraps run perfect at my new computer which has 8gt ram and 1000gt memory
And my fps is 60 i guess or 80

i have the same problem, i have old pc.

I got 2gb ram and 300gb space, still i got 60fps with fraps.
I think its your graphic card that is the problem here.

Does it go to 1 fps when you press the f9 button and comes back to normal when you press f9 again?

Deva and Reflex sry m8,s not gonna buy yours conclusions.. Frap works allrigth on my laptop,whitch is a "poor" tiny thing with only 128 mb grafic card.New pc here is an Medion Akoya Amd Phenom x3 8450 triple-core processor ,256 ati radeon HD 3450 Grapic,640 GB HD,3072 mb ddr2 sdram memory so...? And Neo, yes m8, its go to 2 fps when i hit f9 and normal again as u say so ?..Btw only a bit faster if i make settings to 800x600 .Last trying was i downloaded another program to capture movie with: wegame: but same results.. Thx guys

My fraps program used to work flawlessly on my 5 year old computer,
well enough that I had over 40g of fraps.
Recently its been doing same thing again,
so in my particular case its time to give computer a phlebotomy and reload windows.

M8 your laptop has ALOT more power than this old pc, even tho my video is 256 its not a hi end card.
Its probably time to remove it from the rack for a good cleaning, has more dust in it than a vacuum cleaner!

To resolve my problem i had to format my windows. Not sure if  you will want to do the same. I also used other frap programs and got the same result as well. Prior to format , I disabled everything on startup, including Anti-virus etc. Nothing worked. So i Formatted.

Hmm,sounds a bit crazy to me,if i need to reinstall windows,as i say pc is only one week old now and no porn yet   on it... It stills download vista servicepack 2 etc.etc.And John how can my laptop have more power ? Its 1,7 ghz intel centino ca 5 years old ?Can it be vista ? My old pc and laptop runs xp ..

well when i record i lag 2 but i only frap with 30fps since i choosed that, if u look at a real movie they are only 24-25 fps.

But your PC will work great with Windows 7 or XP. Try Win 7 Ultimate first.

Yea.. guess u r8 m8,heard a lot "shit" about vista..any of u guys have some experince good or bad round vindows 7 ?Think if i can get one cheap,ill be that one ill buy..Feel XP soon run out of time..
Edit: Btw , not many xtra applicacions on this pc Neo,Microsoft office with 60 days free trial,Works,Adobe reader 8,Nero 8 cd burn pgr,Ulead Photoimpact 12 SE,System recovery from Symantec.Ill remove Bullgard soon,because i read some with same pc has problems with its slow down (lags) because of that...
